About the Photographer
Tanya won her first photography contest in high school and has pursued her love looking through the lens ever since. She is a Canadian living in Texas and has enjoyed seeing her photos bring joy to everyone who sees them. Tanya takes a unique perspective on the every day and connects her life philosophy of gratitude to each of her shots. Quoting Marcus Aurelius as part of her life's philosophy: "What a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love."
Although Tanya applies colour edits and filter treatments to many images, there is no use of photoshop or other editing tools, the images all reflect precisely what she saw through her own eyes. She uses a variety of cameras, from the camera on her smartphone, to the Pentax K1000 that her mother passed down to her when she was a teenager.
